Job Applicant Privacy Notice

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) | As Amended by the CPRA

Cambridge Management Group, Inc. (“CMGI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and Cambridge Maintenance and Property Services, Inc. (“CMPS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) are committed to protecting the privacy of job applicants. In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, “CCPA”), this notice describes the categories of personal information we collect from job applicants, the purposes for which that information is used, and your rights as a California resident.

This notice applies to all individuals who apply for employment with Cambridge Management Group, Inc. or Cambridge Maintenance and Property Services, inc., whether in person, by mail, by email, through an online job platform, or by any other means.

1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In connection with your application for employment, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

    • Identifiers — such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and date of birth
    • Professional or employment-related information — such as your résumé, work history, references, professional licenses, and certifications
    • Education information — such as degrees earned, institutions attended, and transcripts
    • Sensitive personal information — such as Social Security number (collected only as required for background check or onboarding purposes), driver’s license number, and immigration or work authorization status
    • Characteristics of protected classifications — such as information disclosed voluntarily in connection with equal employment opportunity (EEO) reporting (race, gender, veteran status, disability status). This information is collected and maintained separately and is not used in hiring decisions.
    • Background check information — such as criminal history, driving record, and credit history, where permitted by law and relevant to the position
    • Communications — such as correspondence between you and CMGI during the application process
2. Purposes for Which We Use Your Information

We collect and use applicant personal information for the following business purposes:

  • To evaluate your qualifications and suitability for employment
  • To communicate with you regarding your application and the hiring process
  • To conduct background checks and verify the information you have provided, where applicable
  • To comply with federal, state, and local legal obligations, including equal employment opportunity and recordkeeping requirements
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of our employees, applicants, and company
3. Disclosure of Personal Information

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose applicant personal information to the following categories of third parties as necessary to carry out our hiring process:

  • Background check and screening service providers
  • Human resources and applicant tracking software providers
  • Legal counsel and compliance consultants
  • Government agencies as required by law

All third parties with whom we share personal information are required to maintain its confidentiality and use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed.

4. Retention

We retain applicant personal information for a period of [ specify, e.g., two (2) years ] following the close of the application process, or as otherwise required by applicable law. If you are hired, your information will be transferred to your employee file and retained pursuant to our employee records retention policy.

RETENTION OF DATA

Cambridge Management Group, Inc. and/or Cambridge Maintenance and Property Services, Inc. will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Cambridge Management Group, Inc. and/or Cambridge Maintenance and Property Services, Inc. will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.

TRANSFER OF DATA

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United States and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Cambridge Management Group, Inc. and/or Cambridge Maintenance and Property Services, Inc. will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

DISCLOSURE OF DATA

Business Transaction

If Cambridge Management Group, Inc. and/or Cambridge Maintenance and Property Services, Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Disclosure For Law Enforcement

SERVICE PROVIDERS

  • Google Analytics Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity. Behavioral Remarketing

Cambridge Management Group, Inc. and/or Cambridge Maintenance and Property Services, Inc. uses remarketing services to advertise on third party websites to you after you visited our Service. We and our third-party vendors use cookies to inform, optimise and serve ads based on your past visits to our Service.

  • Google Ads (AdWords) Google Ads (AdWords) remarketing service is provided by Google Inc. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.
