About Kayla
With more than 25 years of experience in real estate and property management, I’ve built my career at the intersection of operations, leadership, and entrepreneurship. As Founder and Owner of Cambridge Management Group, Inc. AMO®, Cambridge Maintenance and Property Services, Inc., and The Birchwood Real Estate Group, I’ve had the opportunity to grow and lead businesses rooted in service, performance, and long-term value.
As a California DRE Licensed Broker, CPM®, ARM®, and member of the NAAEI Lyceum Leadership and Faculty, I bring a practical, real-world perspective shaped by decades of hands-on experience in residential property management, maintenance and construction operations, marketing, leadership development, and organizational growth. My work has spanned everything from property repositioning and REO management to acquisitions, dispositions, liability and risk management, and building the systems and teams that support operational excellence.
What drives me most is helping people and organizations grow with purpose. I believe successful businesses are built through strong leadership, clear expectations, resilient teams, and a commitment to doing the work well. Whether I’m leading a company, teaching industry professionals, consulting on operations, or speaking to emerging leaders, I’m passionate about helping others build confidence, create momentum, and make a meaningful impact in the work they do.
My approach to leadership is grounded in both strategy and heart. I know that great results come from more than systems and performance metrics alone—they come from trust, adaptability, accountability, and the ability to lead through challenge with clarity and purpose. I’m especially passionate about developing leaders, strengthening operations, and helping others see what’s possible when experience, intention, and service come together.
Beyond my professional work, I find joy in animal rescue, photography, yoga, travel, my new electric bike, and creating a life centered on growth, gratitude, and joy.
